Welcome to UrbanHKG! These terms cover our website (www.urbanhkg.com), photography tours and workshops, gift vouchers, merch and our Members' Community. When you book, buy or join, you agree to these terms. "UrbanHKG", "we" and "us" mean UrbanHKG, run by photographer Carlos Albertosi in Hong Kong.

1. Tours & workshops

Our experiences (prices in HKD):

  • Foundations of Photography: 3 hours, HK$800 per person

  • Global Explorer (group tour, 3–6 people): 3 hours, HK$650 per person

  • VIP Explorer (private): 4 hours, HK$2,800

  • Drone for Beginners: 3 hours, HK$1,200

Booking & payment. All tours are booked and paid in full upfront through our online booking system (Acuity Scheduling, with payments processed by Stripe), in Hong Kong dollars.

First come, first served. Places go to whoever books first. We're happy to be flexible where we can, so if you have a special request, just ask.

Group tours. The Global Explorer tour needs at least 3 people to run (maximum 6). If the minimum isn't reached, we'll let you know at least 48 hours before the tour and offer you a new date or a full refund.

Arriving on time. Tours start at the scheduled time. If you arrive late, we can't extend the session.

Minimum age. Participants must be 16 or older. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Drone sessions. All participants must follow the Hong Kong Civil Aviation Department's rules for drones. We'll give you guidance on flying safely and responsibly, and drones will only be flown where and when we say it's appropriate.

Safety & your gear. Tours involve walking around the city, sometimes on uneven ground or at night. Please follow our guidance, look after yourself, and tell us before the tour about any health or mobility needs. You're responsible for your own camera, drone and belongings during the tour.

2. Refunds, cancellations & rescheduling (tours)

If you need to cancel or reschedule, please tell us as early as possible via WhatsApp or our contact page. With 48 hours' notice or more before your tour, you can choose a free reschedule or a full refund. Cancellations with less than 48 hours' notice, or no-shows, are not refunded. If Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above, or a Red or Black Rainstorm Warning, is in force 2 hours before the start time, we'll reschedule your tour or give you a full refund. If we ever have to cancel for any other reason, you'll be offered a new date or a full refund. Refunds go back to your original payment method and are processed within about 7–10 working days.

3. Gift vouchers

  • Valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.

  • Non-refundable and can't be exchanged for cash.

  • Transferable, so feel free to pass it on to someone else.

  • Dates are flexible: the holder books a date that suits them, subject to availability.

  • Can be put towards a more expensive tour by paying the difference.

  • Emailed within 24 hours of purchase.

4. Merch & prints

Merch is printed to order and shipped by our print partner (Printful), and paid for through the Squarespace checkout. Delivery, damaged items and returns are covered in our Shipping & Returns policy. Colours may look slightly different in real life than on your screen.

5. Members' Community & photo wall

  • Membership of our Members' Community is included free for tour clients.

  • The Community includes a photo wall (hosted on Padlet) where members can share their photos. Uploads are reviewed and approved by us before they appear, and we may decline or remove any photo or comment.

  • Only upload photos you took yourself. Please be respectful and don't post anything offensive, illegal or that invades someone else's privacy.

  • You keep the copyright to your photos. By uploading, you allow UrbanHKG to feature your photos on urbanhkg.com, in the Community and on UrbanHKG's social media (Instagram), always with credit to you.

  • You can ask us to remove a photo or stop future use at any time.

6. Our content

Photos, videos, text and course materials on our website and in our tours belong to UrbanHKG unless stated otherwise. Please don't copy or reuse them without asking.

7. Liability

We take care to run safe, enjoyable tours and to describe our products accurately. To the extent permitted by law, we're not responsible for indirect losses, or for loss of or damage to your personal belongings and equipment during tours. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under Hong Kong law.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The latest version will always be at www.urbanhkg.com/terms. See also our Privacy Policy.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
